Dorothy Jean “Dot” Montague age 57of Aston, passed away on October 7, 2021 after a hard-fought battle with COVID with her brother Sam, her sister Beth and Beth’s husband Dave at her side when she passed.Dorothy was born December 17,1963 to Skiles Fielding Montague and Charlotte Vern (nee Buehrig) Montague in Rantoul, IL. After Graduation from Darby High School in 1981, she ultimately went on to study social work at Cabrini College in Radnor, PA where she earned her BA in 1988. After graduation she went on to work in travel, sales, and customer service.While Dorothy never married, she led a full and vibrant life with many friends, cousins, nieces and nephews. Dorothy was a champion for the downtrodden and disadvantaged, and with her support and kind words and by loving and valuing them as friends she was able to make a difference in their lives.Dorothy served for thirty years as a member of Covenant Fellowship Church, now in Glen Mills, PA, often appearing as Polka Dot the Clown for community outreach events. In 2014, she joined friends to serve in the neighborhood mission of Redeeming Mercy Communities in Aston, with whom she served until her recent illness. Dorothy’s hobbies included jewelry making and cooking.Dorothy was predeceased by her parents Skiles and Charlotte, and her older sister Leah (Doug). She is survived by her brother Sam (Naomi), her sister Elizabeth (David) and numerous, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
