Dorothy J. Johnston Vogel, 90, Anderson, died October 23, 2003 at Community Hospital, Anderson after an extended illness. She was born June 10, 1913 in Alexandria, Indiana, and resided in Anderson, Indiana.
She was a lifelong resident of Madison County. She worked for JoAnn Fabric for 11 years, A & P Grocery for 10 years and The Glove factory for 7 years. She was a graduate of Alexandria High School. She was a member of the Alexandria Christian Congregational Church, Social Order of Beauceants, Victoria Guild at St. John’s Health System for 22 years and the Church Ladies Aid.
She was an excellent seamstress and a strong swimmer. She is survived by her One Sister: Garnet Smith of Alexandria. Several Special Nieces & Nephews including: Wayne & wife Delores Vogel of Anderson and Gail & husband Don Almquist of Noblesville. Several Great Nieces & Great Nephews. She was preceded by her Husband: Charles J. Vogel in 1983. Parents: Riley & Stella Johnson Johnston. Five Brothers and Five Sisters.
