Dorothy Irene (Chadwick) Cecil, 79, of Lumberport passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2022 at her residence. She was born December 8, 1942 in Akron, OH, daughter of the late Arthur Chadwick and Goldia Honaker.
Dorothy used to work as a secretary at Kufner Towing. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and even loved her four-legged companion “Tiny”. She enjoyed going to church, playing bingo and even joined the senior citizens club in Clarksburg. But most of all Dorothy loved to go shopping, her favorite of places to shop is at Wal-Mart.
Dorothy is survived four children, Kathern Honaker and Shawn Smail, Lumberport, Terry Thorne, Ravenna, OH, Bobbie Sue Tolve, Beaufort, SC, Pamela Cecil and Larry Cline, Shinnston; daughter-in-law, Becky Thorne, Nutter Fort; step-son, Jim Sauvant and Maria of Flordia; boat loads of grandchildren, several great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy is now reunited with her husband Donald Eugene Cecil; one son, Curtis Thorne.
