Dorothy I. Fisher, 91, of 282 Chestnut Ridge Road, Jersey Shore, died Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at The Gatehouse Hospice with her family at her bed side.

Dorothy’s husband, Nelson M. Fisher died February 24, 2003.

Dorothy was a member of St. John’s Chapel United Methodist Church where she was in the churches ladies quilting group and a Sunday school teacher. She was a Prayer Warrior and read her bible faithfully.

Dorothy enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and sewing and spent much of her time helping her husband on the farm.

Born March 24, 1920 in Linden, she was the daughter of Sylvester W. and Bessie R. Kinley Paulhamus.

Surviving are a son, Robert W. (Betty) of Cogan Station; daughters, Maxine R. (H. Lynn) Peacock, Beatrice M. (Wayne) Hall and Kay M. (Curt) Paulhamus all of Jersey Shore; ten grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; three step grandchildren and eight step great grandchildren.

Dorothy was predeceased by a son, Donald Allen, a daughter, Anna Mae Hensler, brothers, Dayton, Jim, Torrence and Lester Paulhamus, sisters, Helen Waltz and Grace Lovell.
