Dorothy F. Button was born November 3, 1919 in Mondamin, Iowa to William Eytchison and Eva Del (Jobe) Eytchison.
“Mom” Dorothy was loved and surrounded by her entire family in her final days. Her lifetime was filled with a passion for her family and adventure that took her around the world, including the Holy Lands.
Dorothy and Alvin Edward Button were married on July 22, 1936 in Boise, Idaho. They enjoyed a loving 25 year marriage until Alvin’s death in 1963.
Dorothy enjoyed independence and worked hard to provide for her family. She retired from Hewlett Packard in 1991 at the age of 70, because of the death of her daughter. Most of all we will miss your laughter and warm smile. Love you grandma.
Dorothy and Alvin had five children; Barbara, Glen, Wilma, Betty and Janet. She has joined Glen and Wilma. Betty and Janet remain in Boise, Idaho. Barbara resides in L.A. California.
Dorothy was a grandmother of 15 grandchildren and great grandmother to 16.
