Dorothy F. (Bartlett) Bratten, 90, of McCordsville, passed away January 7, 2011, at Wellington Manor Nursing Home in Indianapolis. She was born May 16, 1920 in Bedford, IN to the late Cletus and Lena Bartlett. She was married to Max H. Bratten, who preceded her in death in 1992.
Dorothy was a licensed beautician who worked for many years from her own shop in her home in McCordsville. She was an active member of the McCordsville United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. For many years she was the favorite “clown” of the Lord’s Acre Parade.
Survivors include her son, David Bratten of McCordsville; daughter, Linda (David) Tutin, of Zephyrhills, FL; grandchildren: Kristi (Todd) Bridges, Kira (John) Walton, Monica (Paul) Mullett, and James (Kelly) Tutin, Matt Weber; and six great-grandchildren, all in the Indianapolis area.
