Dorothy Emma Mazzapica – May 14th, 1928 – May 19th, 2017.
We will miss Dorothy, Dottie, Mom, Nana, Grandma. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her family. She lived for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a caring, kind person who loved all children, the clouds in the sky, riding her bike, and the ocean. She taught each of her grandchildren to swim, she loved to paint, and excelled at playing tennis.
In the mid 1950’s, Dorothy and her husband Charles traveled by car from Massachusetts to California with their daughter Gail and son Doug to embark on new life on the west coast. Dorothy loved living in California for nearly 50 years where she made many friends, had her third child Paul, and watched her children and her children’s children grow up and thrive. She was well regarded at Deluxe Check Printers, Inc. where she retired after 25 years.
Dorothy is survived by her husband of almost 65 years, Charles Mazzapica, her daughter Gail Talbott, son-in-law Jimmy Rudolph, granddaughter Michelle Talbott, grandson-in-law Jim Martin II, great granddaughter Amelia Talbott, her son Doug Mazzapica, and grandson, Sean Mazzapica, her son Paul Mazzapica, daughter-in-law Gina Mazzapica, grandchildren Miranda Mazzapica, Christine Musgrove, and Robert Musgrove (wife Julie Musgrove), and great granddaughter Kya Mazzapica.
