Dorothy Ellis, 90, of Ellettsville, passed away on Monday, December 27, 2021 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
Dorothy was born Sunday, August 9, 1931 in Gull Island, Newfoundland and was the daughter of the late Patrick and Theresa (Woodfine) Delaney.
Dorothy was a housewife and also did childcare in her home. She collected Lighthouses and state spoons, and enjoyed country music and knitting.
Dorothy is survived by two sons; William (Christina) Ellis and Robert (Jane) Thone; 5 grandchildren, Katherine Wantz, Patrick Ellis, Dustin Thone, Erik Thone and Timothy Thone; and 8 great grandchildren.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, William Dunbar Ellis (2017), her parents, two sisters and 4 brothers.
