Ms. Dorothy “Dot” Elizabeth Newby, age 87 of Winder, GA, passed away on Tuesday. A native of Huntsville, Ms. Newby was a member of the Lincolnettes and member and director of the Huntsville Women Bowling Assoc. She was also the Huntsville Women’s Bowling Hall of Fame.
Ms. Newby is preceded by her husband, James “Junior” Newby and son, Dickie Newby.
Ms. Newby is survived by her son Gary “Butch” Newby and wife Tina, of Brownsboro; daughter, Carol Lynn, and husband Robert “Skip” of Winder, GA; daughter-in-law: Beth Newby of Huntsville; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
