Dorothy passed away Friday, April 26, 2013 at her home in Temple. She was born June 15, 1939 in Marshalltown, Iowa, the daughter of John Carl Becker and Eleanor Christina Sophia (Sandberg) Becker. Dorothy moved to Temple in 2004 from California and had a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and worked as Pediatric Nurse.
She loved to paint and draw, although her favorite passion was studying Hebrew, Philosophy, and Religion. She was very self-educated and knowledgeable in Old Testament Studies She is preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her three brothers, Kenneth, LeRoy, and Paul Becker; two sisters, Caryl Driver and Pearl Fellingham.
