Dorothy Ellen Ruddy Oakes,of Chattanooga, died on Tuesday, July 26, 2011. Mrs. Oakes lived in Knoxville most of her life and moved to Chattanooga in recent years to be near family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Charles Oakes and her daughter, Doris Freeland.
