Dorothy was born on May 9, 1921, to Leslie and Elsie (Holy) Kliner in Warren, MN. She graduated from Northwest High School in Crookston, MN. Following graduation she attended St. Francis Nursing School and St. Francis Anesthesia School in La Cross, WI. She was united in marriage to Bennie Moland on June 16, 1948, in Tabor, MN. Dorothy was a very passionate servant during her extensive nursing career. Her dedication to her patients included tenures at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Carroll, IA; Holy Family Hospital in Estherville; and St. Francis Community Hospital in Fairmont, MN. She was an active member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Estherville, and a member of the Catholic Daughters and Circle. In addition, she was a member of the VFW Axillary. Dorothy enjoyed quilting, sewing, knitting and “Master Creator” of the family Ice Sculptures! Dorothy had been a resident at Rosewood Manor since 2015. She passed away on Monday, January 30, 2017, at Averra Holy Family Hospital in Estherville at the age of 95. She is survived by three sons: Mike (Peggy) of Minneapolis, MN; their children Brigitte Moland, and Abigail Moland (John) Walker, great grandchildren Callum and Llewelyn Walker; son, Paul (Ellen) of Crescent, IA; their children Melissa Moland and Amy, Moland; son, Leslie Moland of Alta, IA. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
