Dorothy Emily (Howarth) Meuser, 102, of Worcester, MA, formerly of Peru, passed away Monday, May 12, 2014 at Knollwood Nursing Center in Worcester.
Mrs. Meuser was born September 27, 1911 in Peru to Harry and Sarah (Shaffer) Howarth. She married Robert C. Meuser on June 7, 1947 in Chicago. Mrs. Meuser was a member of First Congregational Church of Peru and, when living in Illinois, was active in the Peru Eagles Auxiliary and Peru Retired Eagles Auxiliary, serving as secretary and treasurer for many years. The family would like to thank the staff at Briarwood and at Knollwood Nursing Center for the loving care given to Dorothy during her five years there.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda (John) Dzik of Paxton, MA; her son, Robert C. (Holly) Meuser Jr. of Edgewood, NM; her step-daughter, Rolene (Ronald) Jenkins of Streator; two grandsons; Steven (Veena) Dzik and Scott (Colleen) Dzik four step-grandchildren; Gregory Grant, Brian Grant, Laurie (Matt) Orr and David (Amy) Jenkins; three great grandchildren; six step great grandchildren and four step great-great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert on October 28, 1989
