Dorothy E. Ferrell, 86, of Rock Falls, formerly of La Salle died June 8, 2015 in Community General Hospital. Dorothy went to meet her Savior with her loved ones around her while listening to her favorite hymns and choruses.
Mrs. Ferrell was born on April 6, 1929 in Dycusburg, KY to John C. and Lora (James) Griffin. She married George Edward Ferrell on December 4, 1954.
She is survived by three daughters Betty (Byron) Pappas of La Salle, Dorothy (Mario) Montanez of Rock Falls, Georgia Hammrick of Rock Falls; two sons John (Kim) McDaniel of Hobart, IN, George Edward (Marilyn) Ferrell of Petersburg; 19 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; one sister Jeannie Marshall of Marion, KY; one brother Jess R. Mercer of Cadiz, KY. She is preceded in death by her first husband Calvin McDaniel on December 1, 1950 and her second husband George Edward Ferrell on April 29, 2005; one son Calvin M. McDaniel; two sisters Phyllis Lanham and Maxine Bettes.
