Sister Dorothy Drobis died on Oct. 15, 2020, in Mother Theodore Hall, St. Mary-of-the-Woods. She was born on Feb. 20, 1932 in Chicago, IL, to August and Veronica Kowalski Drobis and was baptized Adeline Dorothy.
Sister Dorothy entered the Congregation of the Sisters of Providence on Feb. 2, 1952 and received the name Sister Irene Therese. She professed Final Vows Aug. 15, 1959. She earned a bachelor’s degree from St.
Sister Dorothy was a generous, caring, and prayerful woman.
Sister is survived by special cousins, Karen Scholeen and Denise Labedz, both from Illinois, and Mary Jo Koppenhofer and Amy Humphrey, both of Indianapolis.
