Dottie Riley 78, passed away at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne April 14, 2021. She was born in Erie, PA to the late Joseph and Grace (Hecker) Opalenik. Dottie retired from General Motors after 30 years of service. She also was the dancing matchbox for Old Gold Cigarettes on the Ted Mack Show. She married the love of her life Larry Riley December 1, 1966. Larry proceeded her in death October 1, 1992. She spent her retired years being a loving and doting grandma to Grace and Kaitlynn, both of Marion.
Dottie was very proud of them and always treasured her time spent with them. She was not only a mother to her only child, Mary Weesner (Tim) but was her best friend as well. She loved her son-in-law, Tim, and she will be deeply missed by him. Dottie was an animal lover and loved spending time with her family. She is also survived by her dear sister, Alice McDonald of Erie, PA
