Dorothy “Dottie” J. (Karcher) McDonough of Plymouth, passed away on June 13, 2021 at the age of eighty. She was the beloved wife of Joseph S. McDonough of Plymouth; loving mother of Stephen McDonough and his wife Donna of Plymouth, Michael McDonough and his wife Coleen of Quincy, Tricia Legrow of Plymouth and Christine Mota and her husband Jorge of Carver; cherished grandmother of Kirsten, Matthew, Molly, Joey, Joseph, Isabel, Miles and Nicholas. She was the sister of Tommy Karcher and his wife Mary of Duxbury and Nancy Lamarre and her husband Jack of North Carolina. Dottie was born on December 23, 1940 in Boston to J. Charles and Dorothy (Corcoran) Karcher. She was a Project Manager for Eversource until her retirement. She enjoyed spending Friday nights at the American Legion with a glass of wine. She loved going to Long Beach in Plymouth, playing Candy Crush on her iPad, where you could hear her singing along to the background music. Dottie was a fun, outgoing lady and was easily liked by many. She loved her two cats, Tobey and Echo but above all else Dottie, loved her family and treasured her grandchildren.
