Dorothy Lee Mildred (Tanner) Donoho, 87, of Centralia, IL, passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2019, with her family by her side.
She was born on October 1, 1931, in Makanda, IL, daughter of John “Mert” Tanner and Alice Trecia (Knowles) Tanner. She married the love of her life, Ronald Kelly Donoho on August 19, 1951, in Osceola, Arkansas, and he preceded her in death on January 18, 2019.
She grew up farming flowers and peaches and then working for F. W. Woolworth Co. brought her to Centralia where she met her loving husband. She was a wonderful wife, mother, friend and meant the world to her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by three children: Ronald G Donoho (Mary), Glenda Boyles (Rick), and Gayla Horrell (Dan) eleven grandchildren: Kimberly (Paul) Thaggard, Ronald J (Dana) Donoho, Cody Donoho, David A. Terry, Dennis Terry, Katy (Terry) Godfrey, Kelly Terry, Matt Terry, Jameson Resch; D.J. Horrell and Hayley Horrell; fifteen great-grandchildren: Madi (Caleb-fiancé), Noah & Olivia Thaggard, Sophie, Jake and Drew Donoho, Clayton Terry, Lindsey Robert, Emily Butts, Gabi(Trent-who grandma lovingly referred to as “Whiskers”), Natalie & Dylan Godfrey, Christopher Terry, and Kaitlyn & Ethan Terry. Five great-great grandchildren. one brother; James “Meredith” (Pat) Tanner; One sister-in-law: Norma Lee Vaughn; one brother-in-law: Steve Donoho; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her father and mother-in-law: Rufus K Donoho and Julia B (Meador) Donoho; one sister: Flora “June” Johnson; one brother-in-law: James Olan Donoho; one sister-in-law: Bertie Lou Taylor; and one granddaughter-in-law: Becky (Jackson)Terry.
Special care was given by the Godfrey Family and SSM Hospice.
