Fairville – Dorothy Doris (Farnsworth) Stewart, 84 died peacefully Friday Sept. 14, 2007 at the DeMay Living Center.
Family and friends may call Monday (Sept. 17) from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Norman L.
Mrs. Stewart was born the daughter of the late Theodore and Ethel Hallings Farnsworth on May 7, 1923 in the town of Arcadia, New York. For many years she worked in the cafeteria for the Newark High School. She enjoyed going to church every week with her family. Mrs. Stewart was a 50 year member of the Newark Grange and a member of the Fairville Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She was a hard worker and loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mrs. Stewart will be remembered by her loving and devoted husband of 64 years Benson Stewart; sons Carlton of Florida and Lawrence (Karen) Stewart of Lyons; daughters Marilyn (Christopher) Miraglia of Clifton Springs, Beverly (David) Keukelaar of Macedon and Elaine (Lyle) Bean of Delaware; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; brother Samuel Farnsworth of Port Gibson; sister-in-law Lucy Tilburg of Newark; several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Stewart was predeceased by her brother Harold Farnsworth.
