Dorothy Crim, 95, of Spirit Lake passed away on Monday, August 7, 2017 at the Winterset Care Center in Winterset, Iowa. Dorothy was born on November 28, 1921 in Moneta, IA to Harold and Helene (Geesman) Lighter. She graduated from High School in Spencer, IA. Dorothy was an Interior Designer for Tonsfeldt Furniture in Spirt Lake. She was a member of TTT, Spirit Lake United Methodist Church where she was involved with the Choir. Dorothy enjoyed painting, playing bridge, reading, quilting, sewing and the Iowa Great Lakes. She is survived by her son John R. (Jennie) Crim of Marion, IA; daughter Deborah J. Hartzell of Clive, IA; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Thelma J. Thuirer and Marilynn J. Houser.
