Dorothy Conrad Constable a native of Okeechobee Florida passed away quietly at The Hills Nursing Home in Decatur Texas on January 18, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her oldest son, Les Constable, the founder of the Brushy Creek Vineyard in Alvord, Tx.
She is survived by her sister, Shirley Mae “Susanne” Morton; her sons, Steve Constable and Mark Constable; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Dorothy lived in several places in Florida throughout her life. In 1980 she moved to Texas and helped Les start Brushy Creek Vineyard. That included working in the fields, planting and pruning, and working in the tasting room. She built her house on the property there and thoroughly enjoyed the final years of her life in Texas watching her birds.
The family will hold a small graveside service in Okeechobee, Florida where she was born.
