Waterbury- Mrs. Dorothy (Frageau) Carta, 91, died peacefully Wednesday morning, September 29, at St. Mary’s Hospital with her children by her side. She was the widow of Earl O. Carta.
Mrs. Carta was born December 1, 1918 in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Arthur and Margaret (Gorman) Frageau. Raised in Waterbury she was a graduate of St. Francis Xavier Grammar School and Waterbury Catholic High School. She had worked in retail clothing sales for many years in Waterbury. She was a communicant and member of the Ladies Guild of St.
She is survived by one daughter, Donna M. Carta of Waterbury; two sons,
Earl A. Carta and his wife Laurel Ann of Madison and Joseph R. Carta of West Hartford; two sisters, Mary Hanlon and Joan Carmody both of Wolcott; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.
