Dorothy C. (Siegfried) Wambold, 93, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 4, 2022 while in the care of Moravian Village, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late George F. Wambold, with whom she shared 55 years of marriage. Born in Lower Saucon Twp., she was the daughter of the late Daniel L. and Sarah A. (Saylor) Siegfried. Dorothy was a graduate of Springfield High School where she was the Salutatorian of her class. She went on to attend Bethlehem Business School. Dorothy worked for her husband’s contracting business, “George F. Wambold Carpenter and Builder” as a bookkeeper. She later worked for Piercing Pagoda until retiring. Dorothy was a member of St. Stephen’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bethlehem and a longtime member of TOPS. She enjoyed spending time with her family and through her generosity and loving demeanor she touched the lives of many throughout her life.
Survivors: She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Kathleen F. Resh and her husband, Roy of Bethlehem, Aileen C. Modrick of Wescosville, and Dorothy M. Smith and her husband, Glenn of Quakertown; grandchildren, Christine Ginder Stout, Jennifer Resh Clark, Sarah Modrick, Esq., Theodore and Benjamin Smith; 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving son Daniel L. Wambold; grandson Frank Modrick, IV; son-in-law Frank Modrick, III and sisters Grace I. Rosenberger and Rheta Campanella Bell.
