Mrs. Dorothy B. Vines, age 64, of 4549 Virginia Road, Wilson, North Carolina passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, North Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her father, Mr. Albert Shorter; her mother, Mrs. Willie V. Braswell; son, Mr. Carlos J. Vines; one sister, Ms. Joyce Braswell and one grandchild, Teshekia Vines.
Mrs. Vines leaves to cherish precious memories: her husband, Mr. J.P. Vines, Jr.; two daughters, Mrs. Angela V. Forte (Thomas) of the home and Mrs. Taneika V. Peterson (Tyrone) of Wilson, NC; two brothers, Mr. Robert Braswell (Christine) and Mr. Clinton Braswell, both of Snow Hill, NC; three sisters, Ms. Sarah Shorter of Pennsylvania, Ms. Brenda Braswell and Ms. Geraldine Simmons, both of Snow Hill, NC; three grandchildren, Kayla Nicole Vines, Ontansia Peterson and Zynesha Peterson, all of Wilson, NC; several cousins including a very special cousin who was like a sister, Ms. Margaret Yelverton of Wilson, NC; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
