Dorothy Bartschi Hartley passed away, peacefully sitting in her chair watching a Hallmark movie, on July 2, 2017 at the home of her granddaughter and family in Shelly, Idaho. Dorothy was born November 2, 1924 In Georgetown Idaho to Frank Royal and Gwendolyn Bacon Bartschi. She had two brothers Rex and Glen and one sister LaPriel. Dorothy spent her childhood and most of her adult life living in Georgetown, Idaho. She married Glen Hartley on August 28, 1947. Their marriage was later sealed in the Logan Temple. Together they had three children Shanna, Gloria and Kurt. Dorothy spent her younger days has a homemaker, taking care of her family. After retirement her and Glen spent the winters in Quartzite, Arizona and the summers on Blackfoot Reservoir, until they bought a home in Mesquite Nevada, where they later moved permanently, enjoying the warm winters and hot summers. After the death of her husband she moved backed to Montpelier for a couple of years until she returned back to Mesquite to live with her daughter Shanna and son-in-law Kent. After celebrating her 90th birthday Dorothy moved to Shelly Idaho to live with her Granddaughter and Grandson Nataile and Clint Hanson. Were she enjoyed her last years. Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband Glen Hartley, her son Kurt Hartley, a Grandson Troy Twiss and his wife Jerusha, and her brother Rex Bartschi and sister LaPriel Dunford. She is survived by her brother Glenn Bartchi (LaRae), Sister-in-law and friend Anna Bartschi, Daughter Shanna Twiss (Kent), Daughter Gloria Bacon (Jim), 10 grandchild, 23 great grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
