Dorothy B. Dertzo entered into Rest on November 9, 2020, the birthday of her beloved husband, John, who passed away March 30, 2006.

Dottie was a native of Burke County, Georgia and moved to Orlando, Florida after her husband, John retired from the United States Army. She attended Vidette High School and Penn State University.

Dottie was very active in community and professional organizations in State College, Pennsylvania, Frankfurt, Germany and Orlando. She was also a very active member of herr community at Indian River Colony Club in Melbourne. She was a noted Parliamentarian and held membership and honorary membership in many organizations.

Dottie is survived by many nephews and nieces. Her love for all of them was unconditional, especially for Jeffrey Sexton and his children Mackenzie, Kendall and Cameron, Robert E. (Bobby) and Carolyn Wren, Tressie and Maurice Weber, Dottie McCafferty, Jim and Kareen Jackson and Allen and Christine Broxton; all of them actually.

Dottie was a loving, caring daughter to her parents, Mary Julia Johnson Broxton and Jasper Allen Broxton. She was close to all of her brothers and sisters, Allen, Paul and Roy Broxton, Mary Wren, Emmie Worth, Tressie Jackson, Evelyn Libertine and Lorene James, all of whom preceded her in death.

Aunt Dot, you are sorely missed but we are happy that you are with John and the rest of your family with your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
