Dorothy Anne (Nordberg) Anderson, a loving mother, loving grandmother and great grandmother, a retired teacher and longtime resident of Fairfield, died Wednesday morning (Oct. 5, 2016) at Bridgeport Hospital after a short illness. She was 84. Dorothy is survived by two sons, Timothy Anderson and his wife, Donna, and a great granddaughter, Natalee, all of Towson, Md., and Jeffrey Anderson and his wife, Rachel, and their two sons, Luke and Patrick, of Fairfield. She is also survived by a brother, Harry N. Nordberg Jr., and his wife, Vera, of Gouverneur, N.Y. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Anderson; a daughter, Jill Anne, and a brother, Robert Nordberg. Dorothy was born on Aug. 30, 1932 in Mansfield, Mass., the daughter of the late Harry and Anne Nordberg. She graduated from Mansfield High School and in 1954 earned a B.A. degree in education from State Teachers College at North Adams (now the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts). She taught at Jane Ryan Elementary School in Trumbull for several years prior to raising her family.
