Mrs. Dorothy Ann Goodwin, age 78, of Valley, Al., passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2014 at EAMC Lanier Hospital in Valley.
Mrs. Goodwin is survived by her three children, Marla (Cary) Baldwin, Melinda Edwards, and Jeff (Jenny) Goodwin, all of Valley; four grandchildren, Elizabeth (Cole) Smith, Andrew Baldwin, Jaylin Lane Goodwin, and Jenna Goodwin; great granddaughter, Stella Kate Smith; three sisters, Sara (Jimmy) Pitts, Judy (Joe) Newman, Faye (Terrell) Daniel; brother, Tommy (Janis) Strength.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lamar Goodwin; four brothers; and two sisters.
Mrs. Goodwin was born on March 7, 1936 in Tallassee, Alabama to the late Willie Paul and Francis J. Strength. She was a member of Fairfax 1st. Baptist Church. She was a loving, giving, and caring person. She was the best friend anyone could have. Her life was her children, grandchildren, great grandchild, and friends. She had a heart of gold and was always thinking of others.
