Dorothy, a lifelong resident of Marksville, entered eternal rest on January 25, 2023, at 1:24 A.M. at the age of 78 at Avoyelles Hospital in Marksville, Louisiana.
Dorothy will be missed by her loving husband of 54 years, Leo Phillip Rogers, and her two dedicated daughters, Trina Annette Rogers-Preston (Richard) and Sherri Lynn Rogers-Hall (Jason).
She was the daughter of the late Merlin Joseph Augustine, Sr., and Nora Mayeaux Augustine. Dorothy was also preceded in death by her oldest sister, Catherine Alexander (Harold), and her foster brothers, Gerald Sarpy (Brenda), Pete Sarpy, and Michael Sarpy (Carolyn). She is now reunited in heaven with her parents, her eldest sister, and her foster brothers.
