Rotterdam – Dorothy A. Kilburn Rice, 89, of Carmen Road died Monday, April 16, 2018, at Daughters of Sarah after a long illness.
Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Michael Augustus Kilburn and Lena Marks Kilburn and wife of the late Rev. Charles E. Rice, who died in 1997. She was raised in Troy and resided in Colonie, Rotterdam and Guilderland and was a 1946 graduate of Troy High School.
Dorothy was an office administrator for LP Grasso & Co., Inc. in Schenectady for 32 years, retiring in 2011.
She was an active member, Elder and Deacon of the Hamilton Union Presbyterian Church in Guilderland for many years.
Survivors include a son, Jonathan Paul Rice and her daughter-in-law, Pamela Rice, Toms River, NJ; three grandchildren, Moriah Stacy (Thomas) Macdonald, Jason Mathew Rice and Haley Elizabeth (George) Noble and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two daughters, Jacquelyn I. Rice and Kathleen C. Rice and her siblings, R. Kathryn Russell, Helen K. McKenna, Augustus R. Kilburn and Alma Kilburn.
