Dorothea L. (Mengel) Norton age 91, of DeMotte, IN passed away on Friday, February 26, 2010, at the Jasper County Hospital. She was born on May 14, 1918, to the late William J and Hazel M. (Putt) Mengel.
On September 26, 1964, she married Eugene F. Norton who preceded her in death on November 22, 1970. She had worked for many years as a waitress and was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Dorothea is survived by her sisters, Mary Lee Selsor and Elizabeth “Betty” Hilbrich both of DeMotte, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother. Rev. John Starr officiating.
