Dorman Daniel Searcy, 63, of Sardis, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2008 at his residence. He was born July 17, 1944 in Norfolk, VA, a son of the late Johnny Searcy and survived by his mother Bonnie Marsh Williams of Marshville, WV. He is survived by his long time companion of 28 years, Vickie Singleton; two daughters, Janet Baxter and husband Charles of Marshville; Anna Searcy of Goodhope; and one son Charles Searcy of Sardis. He is also survived by two brothers Aaron Searcy of Marshville and Robert Searcy and wife Jackie of Marshville; one sister Barbara Jean Knight and husband Robert of NC. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Casey, Tanya and Natasha Searcy, Travis Baxter, Andrew Kendall, Freedom Searcy and Carl Goldsmith; two great grand children Steven Searcy and Briona Searcy; and several nieces and nephews. Dorman was preceded in death by one son Dorman Daniel Searcy II and two brothers, Norman Searcy and Nathan Williams. Mr. Searcy enjoyed hunting, fishing, horseback riding and camping.
