Dorita Vasquez Cano, 78, entered the Lord’s heavenly kingdom on Saturday, February 20, 2021 peacefully at Valley Baptist Medical Center.
She was born on February 13, 1943 in Lantana, Texas to Leonardo, Sr. & Nestora Lugo Vasquez.
At the age of 16, Dorita received the Lord, and became a Sunday school teacher. She was a talented singer with a beautiful voice that sang acapella. Dorita was so kind & loving and accepted everyone as the same or equal. She especially loved & adored children because they brought her great joy. Dorita had a heart of gold, was a strong woman of faith, and loved to sing Praise to the Lord.
She is preceded in death by both her parents, and infant sister, Dora Vasquez.
Dorita leaves behind her loving family to cherish her beautiful memory, husband, Rev. Tadeo Cano Jr.; adopted son, Eduardo Vasquez; sisters, Delia V. Longoria of Harlingen; Delfina V. Casango of Dallas; & Diana V. Orozco of Dallas; brothers, Daniel Vasquez of Broken Arrow OK, Leonardo Vasquez Jr. of San Antonio, & David Vasquez of Dallas, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, & friends.
