Doris Woodley Moser of Boerne, Texas died January 18, 2012. In death she joins her parents, Glenn Elmo Woodley and Glenn Mangum Woodley; her sister, Sally Julia Woodley, her sister, Betty Woodley Knight; her brother, Henry Woodley; her husband, Charles (Chuck) Moser; her grandson, Ryan Charles Rogers; and her niece, Rebecca Mangum Knight. Doris Moser was born February 2, 1923 in Sabinal, Texas. She grew up with her extended family in Sabinal and Uvalde. She was valedictorian of Sabinal High School and attended the University of Texas at Austin as mathematics major. In 1942 Doris married Chuck Moser who was a Captain in the United States Army stationed at Hondo, Texas; theirs was a happy marriage for 53 years. Doris was a devoted mother and grandmother to her daughters and their families always with letters, gifts, and interest in their lives. Throughout her life, Doris enjoyed reading everything on the New York Times bestseller list and much more, traveling, playing bridge, china painting, and writing.
