Mrs. Doris Whitmire Hoover, 89, of Troutman, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2013.
She was born in Clinton, SC to the late Etta Satterwhite and Thomas Bart Whitmire. She graduated from Ford High School in Laurens, SC and worked at Nations Bank for many years before retiring.
Doris was a loving wife and mother who particularly enjoyed cooking and working in her summer garden.
She is survived by her husband, Blake K. Hoover, of Troutman; daughter, Teresa Hoover Meinert and husband, Thomas, of Charlotte; three grandchildren, Tommy Meinert and wife, Christine, of Boxford, MA, Shaina Meinert of Charlotte, and Dustin Meinert of Miami, FL; and one great granddaughter, Madison Meinert of Boxford, MA.
