Doris Warr
August 13, 1939 – November 28, 2016

On Monday, November 28, 2016, as snow gently fell outside her window, Doris slipped from Alzheimer’s grip. One of her favorite childhood memories was of snowy days when her daddy would carry the children home from school in a horse-drawn sled.

Born August 13, 1939, to Arvil and Katherine Parke Bunn, she was the fourth child and baby of the family. Doris grew up in Burley, Idaho, graduating from Burley High School in 1957. On Oct. 3, 1958, she married Guy Warr, and his job with the UPRR took them to Payette, Idaho, then Clearfield, Utah. They have resided in West Haven, Utah for the past 40 years.

Doris was the first person to make an outsider feel welcome, clothe a family in need, or make sure food filled a bare cupboard. Her beautiful afghans comforted those that lost everything and wrapped many babies in loving warmth. We will miss her generous heart, quick wit, and the arch of her brow when she teased.

Doris is survived by her husband, Guy Warr; two children, Monica (Mathew) Schwenk and Mitch (Brooke) Warr; granddaughter Brittani (Ely) Charles; granddaughter Shyloh Warr; great grandson Keilan Charles. She is also survived by sister Gladys Wright, and brothers Ned (Verna) Bunn, and Parke Bunn. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Neal Bunn.

Heartfelt gratitude to the PeachTree and Comfort Keeper staff for their loving, patient care of our beloved Doris. You were one of her favorites if she teased or patted you on the bottom.
