Doris W. Durbin, 76, of Fort Pierce, FL passed away February 9, 2021, surrounded by her family.
Doris was born December 20, 1944, in Lakeland, FL to the late Thomas and Norma Monk. Doris moved with her family to Ft. Lauderdale where she met the love of her life, Donald Durbin, Sr. Doris, and Donald joined in marriage June 6, 1964; Doris and her husband traveled the world with the United States Air Force before Donald retired in 1992. Doris and Donald went on to dedicate themselves to missionary work under the North American Missionary Board.
In 2009 Doris, along with her family, moved to Ft. Pierce to settle down. Doris was a dedicated member of the Westside Church in Ft. Pierce; she enjoyed watching the food network and old western movies on TV. Doris loved to spend time with children but most of all she enjoyed the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Doris was preceded in death by her son, John Thomas Durbin; sister, Brenda Young.
She is survived by her loving and dedicated husband of 56 years, Donald Durbin; children, Donald Durbin, Jr. of Ft. Pierce, Suecinda Larkin (Michael) of New York; grandchildren, Miranda, Tyler, Ashley, Morgan, Lacey, Trevor, Alexander, Alyssa; great-grandchildren, Jax, Korbyn, Preston, Aeryonna, Kodi; sister, Joyce Meek of Stuart.
