Doris married Elmer Aldag in September of 1940, they later divorced. She married Arden Smith on July 12, 1950 in Yankton. Doris worked as a copy writer at WJAG, worked for the city of Battle Creek and also worked at Battle Creek Mutual Insurance.
Doris was a member of the Fireman’s Auxiliary and St. John Lutheran Church.
Doris is survived by her 2 sons Dennis and Janice Aldag, Battle Creek and Scott and Joanie Smith, Norfolk, 4 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Arden on November 10, 2015 a grandson, Greg Smith, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
