Doris “Skip” Olson, 69, died August 16, 2012 at St. Thomas Moore Hospital. Skip was born on July 17, 1943, in Canon City to parents Lester and Gertrude Swisher. She graduated from Canon City High School in 1961. Skip married Bill Price and they had three children prior to divorcing. On April 1, 1977, she married Robert Olson of Florence. A few short years later Skip began a successful 20-year run as an independent business owner. Many in the community will remember Skip as the owner of Video USA and Skip’s Parcel. After retiring, Skip remained an active member of the community via organizations such as the Elks, the Canon City Rodeo Association and the Class of ‘61′ Reunion Committee.
