Doris Rothman Doris Rothman, 96, passed away peacefully in the Danbury Hospital on February 12th surrounded by her loving family. Doris, a native of Montreal, Canada, was born to Sarah and Abe Cohen on June 19, 1917. She attended Montreal’s public schools, was recognized as being an outstanding student and, upon graduation, was awarded a medal from the Protestant Board of School Commissioners. Her first job was working in a Montreal residential buying office. She later found employment in a law firm. Doris was introduced to her future husband by her sister-in-law to be, and enjoyed a story book marriage to Manny Rothman that lasted over 73 years. Doris was an accomplished piano player, loved to play cards and board games. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother. She spent many happy years living in Danbury, Connecticut, at Candlewood Landing in New Milford, Connecticut; at the development founded and built by the Rothmans and then in Highland Beach, Florida.
