She was born on March 1, 1937, in Selma, AL to the late William Veach and Pennie Allen Veach. Doris is survived by her daughter, Faye Shaw, and her husband James; granddaughter, Jessica Shaw; grandson, Bryan Shaw and his wife Keirsten and one great-grandson, Hugo Shaw. She is also survived by her sister, Judith Saranthus, and brother, Morris Veach, and his wife Charlotte.
