Doris (Poinelli) Daigle, 80, of Newington, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, July 22, 2016. She was born and raised in West Hartford to the late Albert and Alma (Arndt) Poinelli. Doris enjoyed playing Bingo and watching UConn basketball games. Most of all however, she loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her children: Lori Henry and her husband, Andy, Steven Daigle and his wife, Joyce, Karen Coco and her husband, David and Robert Daigle and his wife, Annmarie; her adored grandchildren: Michael and Laura Henry, Jenni and Leo Carrier, Greg, Matt and Brittany Coco, Ashley Daigle and her precious great-grandson, M.J.; her brother Richard Poinelli and his wife, Maureen along with several nieces and nephews. Doris was predeceased by her husband, Richard Daigle; her sister, Catherine Amenta and her brother, John Poinelli. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks and gratitude to the staff of the Jefferson House for the care and compassion shown to their beloved mother.
