Doris Pauline Libak, age 81, formerly of Wheatfield, Indiana, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2020 at the Rensselaer Care Center.
She was born in Jasper County, Indiana on March 31, 1939, the daughter of Rev. Cornelius and Helen (Piersma) Westerhoff. Doris graduated from the DeMotte High School, the Class of 1958. She employed herself as an in-home social care worker and cared for numerous elderly people in her career. Doris enjoyed cross stitching and loved being outdoors. She would often take long walks for exercise and to enjoy nature. She had a gift for gardening and enjoyed caring for her floral gardens. She was affiliated with the Baptist Church.
Doris is survived by her two loving sons, Timothy (Linda) Eck of Wheatfield and Daniel Eck of Sumner, Illinois, one sister, Sandra Todd, two grandsons, Dereck & Nathan Eck, one great-grandson, Jayce Eck, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Ronald, Jr. and Thomas Eck, two sisters and three brothers.
