Doris Rita Dubret Noonan, died peacefully in her beach home on March 8, 2006 surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Noonan was born in Bridgeport and was a longtime Stratford resident. She was a 1943 graduate of Bassick High School , Bridgeport, CT and a 1946 graduate of St. Vincent’s Hospital School of Nursing, Bridgeport, CT. where she was head nurse in the emergency department for several years before meeting her husband, Bob, marrying and starting a family. She was very active in the St. Vincent’s Alumni Association, a former president of St. Charles School’s mother’s club in Bpt., CT. Mrs. Noonan had an unwavering enthusiasm for the UCONN HUSKIES basketball teams especially “her girls” as she referred to them.
