Doris W. Neubaum passed away March 18, 2010 at Fellowship Courts, Whitehall, Pa. She was born Doris Belle Williams on May 22, 1923 in Huntsville. AL. She was married for 36 years to Victor Alfred Neubaum Sr. of Steelton, Pa until his death in 1979. Mrs. Neubaum remained a widow for almost 31 years. She and Mr Neubaum met when he was in the Army stationed at the Huntsville Arsenal in the early 40s. Mr. Neubaum worked for Bethlehem Steel Corporation for 40 years and was a WWII Army veteran. During WWII Mrs. Neubaum worked as a stenographer/typist in Atlanta in support of the war effort. She was a devoted member of Calvary Bible Fellowship Church in Coopersburg, Pa for many years where she resided with her family from 1961 until 2003 when she moved to the Fellowship Courts. She volunteered in various positions in the church including church librarian. She was a devoted wife, mother, homemaker and daughter of the late Sidney and Thelma (Woodall) Williams. She graduated from North Fulton High School in Fulton County, Ga in 1940 and was a graduate of the La Grange Female Academy in 1942. She is survived by three children. Bonnie Neubaum Beitel of East Amherst, NY, a retired registered nurse and her husband Sydney B. Beitel of Bethlehem. Victor Alfred Neubaum Jr. of Wellsville, Pa, an attorney and his wife Cathy Hoffman Neubaum of Dillsburg and John Christian Neubaum of Dallastown, Pa, a geologist and Pa National Guardsman who returned early from a deployment to Afghanistan to be with his ailing mother and his wife Wanda Jean Neubaum of Meadville. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; Steven. Gregory, Melanie, Jessica (and husband Eric Klotz), Heather, Ashley, and Christian. Her brother Sidney Wheeler Williams Jr. of San Diego, CA, a retired Navy commander, passed away last year at the age of 90.
