Doris Marie Morrow was born November 26, 1953, in Jackson, Mississippi. Later her mother moved the family to Gary, Indiana, where Doris lived throughout her early adulthood.
She attended Roosevelt High School from which she graduated from 1971. Doris was blessed to give birth to ten amazing children. In 1995, Doris moved to Sacramento, California, but later returned to Gary, Indiana to be closer to her family.
Doris eventually settled in Indianapolis, Indiana, where she found work at St.
Doris passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at St. Vincent Hospital, surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Annie R. Steele and L T Morrow; stepfather, Fred Steele; son, Donta Morrow, and several aunts and uncles.
Doris leaves to cherish her memories her children, Antoinette Quarles (Anthony), Michelle Mixon, Tiwanna Morrow, Glenn Morrow, Demetri Smith, Donnie Smith, Tamara Smith, Kevin Smith (Alexia), Marcus Smith, and Bianca Smith; twenty-three grandchildren, Arcenia Davis, Damaris and Aliya Smith, Kevin Jr. and Kyrin Smith, Amari and Amiya McKinnie, Cenya, Corian, Xavier, Chyna, Don’Asia, and Lilah Smith, Lakeya and Lakedra Malone, Maddison Ross, Shawn Malone, Deontaye Goode, Zharia Scott, Makaela Scott, Jeremy and Jamaal Townsell and Arnisha Gray; brothers and sisters, Bonnie Morrow, T. L. Morrow, Alice Morrow, Johnetta Fayson, Royal Fayson (Theresa), Shirley Miles (Tommie), John Fayson Jr. (Yvonnie), LaShawn Jones (Leonard, Jr.), and Cathy Morrow; a host of great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and a very special friend, Duane Griffin.
