Doris Miller, of Helena, went home to be with the Lord at the age of 86. A lifelong resident of the Birmingham area, Doris graduated from Jones Valley High School where she made all-city in softball. For many years she was a member, nursery coordinator and kindergarten teacher at Berney Point Baptist Church. She served for 20 years as a Registrar at Samford University assisting countless students in navigating and achieving educational success. A breast cancer survivor, “Memomma” as she was known by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, faithfully supported and attended all activities her family was involved in. She leaves a legacy of abundant love and perpetual encouragement. Memomma will be missed but we rejoice that she is in the presence of the Creator.
