Doris Maxine Copelin was a long time resident of South Bend, Indiana. In her later years of assisted living, she resided at The Milton Home in South Bend and later at Morningside Memory Care Center. Maxine was born in South Bend on February 2, 1926. She passed away of age related causes on November 29, 2016. She was the loving wife of John Copelin, who preceded her in death. She was the daughter of Veda and Clayton Kinney and sister of Thomas Kinney, all of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Kris Copelin. Maxine was a homemaker and worked at G.L. Perry’s variety store one day a week for fifteen years. She was a very loving, caring, mother, daughter, wife and friend. She is survived by her son, Doug Copelin; grandsons, Kyle Copelin, Clayton Copelin; and great-grandchildren, Kane, Parker and Veda Copelin. She was a long time member of the Ardmore Brethren Church. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
