Doris Mary Kotloff Peoples, a beloved member of the Springfield and Granite Farms Estates communities, died of cancer July 11, 2023 at Granite Farms Estates in Media, Pennsylvania. Mrs. Peoples was born at home October 9, 1939 in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania and will be remembered for her creativity, compassion, and service.
She was the daughter of Leon and Mildred Fleming Kotloff, both predeceased, and the cherished wife of John James Peoples, Jr. for 54 years until his passing in 2014. She is survived by her children, Scott Peoples (Denise) and Karen Peoples Fisher (Dave) and her grandchildren, Abigail Peoples, Connor Bonyeau (Luca), Ellie Peoples Courtney (Connor), and Brooke Fisher. She was the proud, new great-grandmother of Lily Wren Bonyeau and is also survived by her brother, Ronald Kotloff (Ellen), nephew Ron Kotloff (Shannon), niece Stephanie Neis (Dave), two great-nieces and three great-nephews.
Mrs. Peoples graduated from Haverford High School in 1957 and was a dedicated public school and dental practice administrative assistant who worked to serve and love others with tolerance and kindness. Notably, she was a gifted gardener, whose guests were always greeted by beautiful, planted pots that adorned her patios and entrances. She enjoyed sewing, creating decorative wreaths, and was an avid reader. Mrs. Peoples was a deep thinker who enjoyed engaging in thoughtful conversations and keeping up with current events, despite any challenges of aging. Her best days were when she could appreciate nature, friends and family at the beach. She found contentment while sitting at the water’s edge, a good book in her hands, and her feet sinking into the wet sand. It was in these quiet moments that she truly shone, her love of life and family reflected in gratitude and simplicity at the sea.
Mrs.
