Doris Britton, 91, passed away on February 9, 2017. She was born June 16, 1925 in Richmond, KY.
She was employed by the National Security Agency and worked for the Federal Government during World War II. In 1945, she married Ben Britton, also a Kentuckian, and they lived in the Washington DC area for 30 years. They moved to Ponce Inlet, FL in 1974.
Doris is survived by her daughter, Sharon (George) Adams; son, Shawn (MaryBeth) Britton; and son-in-law, Kevin Bickham. She was predeceased in death by her husband Ben to whom she was married for 67 years, and her daughter Donna Bickham. She also has four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Doris enjoyed a full and well lived life. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed discussing politics, shopping, and Sunday dinners with her children. She will be greatly missed by all.
